The Greening of Business: The Role of European and International Law

Six days of high-level training in international environmental law and the legal systems containment of the ecological damage caused by industry and commerce. There is a French version of this course.

This course is intended for members of NGOs, civil servants, environmental lawyers, journalists, business people and interested members of the public. The school is being offered by the Faculty of Law and is open to graduate students (3 credits, DRT6830D). Undergraduate students are also eligible to enroll provided they obtain their academic director’s approval.

Information for Members of the Québec Bar

The summer course on International and European Environmental Law takes place over a one-week period (30 hours) and is recognized by the Québec Bar as a Graduate Studies course. The course is given jointly by the Centre d’Études et de Recherches Internationales (CÉRIUM) and the Faculty of Law, Université de Montréal. Since this course is authorized by the Faculty of Law at U de M, it is not subject to individual evaluation and accreditation from the Québec Bar nor does it appear on the Québec Bar website.
