Peace Operations : Manufacturing Peace

This in-depth look at the current and growing phenomenon of peace operations aims to provide participants with concepts and tools to understand and evaluate the process of contemporary peace-making missions, to study their transformation as well as the implicated actors and to analyze the debates surrounding the proposed reforms. The course is given entirely in English.

This course is intended for citizens interested in international affairs, NGO representatives, civil servants, diplomats, journalists and business professionals. The course is offered by the department of Geography of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Undergraduate students who have already completed at least 45 credits may register and obtain credits for the course (3 credits, course GEO3432). Graduate students may also enrol provided they obtain their academic director’s approval.
