IFPU Doctoral school at Université de Montréal : Terms of participation for students

IFPU Students

Each IFPU Member University sponsors the participation of 2 of its PhD students in the seminar (by covering travel expenses and registration fees ; lodging and food are provided by Université de Montréal). Candidates must submit their application to the international relations office at their home university. Once their candidacy is approved, they must send their résumé to Mrs. Sophie Alarie at Université de Montréal. Applications will be reviewed in order of submission.

Students not selected by their home university (if there were too many applicants, for example) can participate in the seminar by registering as regular students (i.e. responsible for all expenses) directly with the CÉRIUM. You must obtain your academic supervisor’s approval to register as a regular student (see students from outside Quebec below).

UdeM students

Université de Montréal is an IFPU member and will sponsor two PhD students to participate in the seminar (see terms of participation above)

PhD, Master’s and B.A. students (with a minimum of 45 credits completed ; see the Important Notice for Undergraduate Students here) from UdeM can also register through their home department, without any additional fee to pay to the CERIUM.

Registration will open in January 2010 at cerium.ca/summer

Students from non-IFPU Member Universities

Quebec

Quebec PhD, Master’s and B.A. students (with a minimum of 45 credits completed) from outside Université de Montréal, can also register without any additional fee to pay to the CERIUM.

Their travel and lodging fees will not be covered and they must register through an Authorization to transfer creditshttps://dbs.crepuq.qc.ca/mobilite-c... with CRÉPUQ, in link with their home department.

Registration will open in January 2010 at cerium.ca/summer

Outside Quebec

Foreign PhD, Master’s and B.A. students (with a minimum of 45 credits completed) can also participate in the seminar. They are expected to meet the same academic requirements as Quebec students. Their travel and lodging fees will not be covered and they must register directly with the CERIUM starting in January 2010 at cerium.ca/summer

North American students (outside Quebec) : $770.00 + taxes Foreign students from outside North America : $550.00 + taxes

Transcripts

IMPORTANT NOTICE : Upon completion of the course, non-Quebec and foreign students who wish to receive credits will receive a letter signed by our professor and/or program director certifying that they have met the requirements of the course, worth three credits, and indicating their grades. This will not be a standard university transcript. Students must ascertain with their academic director at their home institution whether these credits will be recognized by their university. We will be happy to provide a course syllabus and other necessary information to the program directors involved.
