Africa, not as "Dark" as You Think
from Tuesday, July 8th to Sunday, July 13th 2008

Six days of lectures and discussions to decipher this complex, plural, and paradoxical continent and give an in-depth analysis of the successes, setbacks and challenges facing Africa today. The course is given entirely in English. There is also a Version française

This course is intended for members of NGOs, civil servants, journalists, business people and interested citizens. The three-credit Master’s course is being offered by the Political Science department of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Undergraduates can register providing that they obtain a permission from their academic director.

Two more reasons to attend

The seminars will be held during the day, on the Campus of the Université de Montréal, while at night, the renowned International Montreal Jazz Festival and the Just for Laughs Festival will take place downtown. Both festivals present numerous free outdoor shows.
